Kahinumduman nga niadtong Enero, nagpahamtang ang DA og unom ka bulan nga moratorium sa pag-isyu og certification alang sa land-use reclassification aron maprotektahan ang agricultural lands gikan sa sobrang conversion.
Matod sa DA, ang kusog nga urban expansion, infrastructure development ug zoning revisions sa Local Government Unit maoy hinungdan sa pagsaka sa aplikasyon alang sa land conversion nga posibleng makaapekto sa produksyon sa agrikultura ug food security sa nasud.
Nagporma usab ang DA og Technical Working Group aron usbon ang mga lagda sa land reclassification aron mahiuyon sa national food security agenda.
